Michael studied under Mary Essinger during his years in Lubbock, Texas, then received further education under Terry Morrow while attending Texas Tech University.  After moving to Dallas, as a freelance artist, he continued to explore the various mediums available to him.  His interest in architectural landscape and interior design has provided a refreshing dimension to his work.

Micheal Bush's works are greatly influenced by the Southwest, after having spent his formative years there.   His interest in antiques, flowers and birds also has had a direct impact on his style.  In the majority of his compositions, foliage and deep rich colors are a common denominator.  In addition, the architectural interest of columns and archways in much of his work, combined with his sense of light and color, add a unique touch of elegance to his art.

He has a very positive outlook on life as an artist, having many influential artists in his own family, which he finds an inspiration for him.  His personal adage, "Attitude determines altitude." promises a continuation of a successful career far into the future.
